Summer Camp offerings posted!
Welcome to Wild Hands, a homeschool enrichment program where art, nature, and friendship weave together in a rhythm of joyful learning and playful freedom. Designed especially for homeschool and unschooled children, this program offers a nurturing space to deepen artistic skills, explore creative expression, and build friendships. This is a space where muddy feet are welcome, creativity is celebrated, and young hearts are held with care. A place to remember the simple joys of making, playing, and belonging.
Wild Hands runs weekly from September through May (with breaks for holidays), offering children a chance to build community, grow their artistic voices, and soak in the natural magic of the seasons.
Each Wednesday, from 9:00 am to 3:15 pm, children join in a balanced flow of guided classes and open-hearted play on the farm. Here, the days breathe in with focus and craft, and breathe out with laughter, movement, and playing outdoors on the farm. Wild Hands offers three core classes each gathering day:
Handwork — where children learn knitting, crochet, and embroidery, with projects tailored to individual skill and curiosity. Beyond creating items of beauty and use, handwork gently nurtures patience, focus, and the quiet joy of making something with one’s own hands.
Creative Crafting — A rotating exploration of seasonal and natural arts, changing every 2 to 6 weeks. Children will dip their hands into felt making, sewing, beeswax and clay modeling, wild foraging crafts, plant dyeing, or other earth-inspired projects, connecting to nature’s cycles through creation.
Drawing & Painting — In this class, students will build strong foundational skills in drawing and painting while exploring the beauty of the world around them. Using both observation and imagination, we’ll create images of animals, plants, landscapes, and people. Along the way, children will experiment with a variety of techniques and materials, developing confidence in expressing themselves through art.
